      Everquest Next reveal

well its been revealed and it sounds pretty crazy, there is so many things we know about the game now i am not going to type it all, i will just post links and videos, trust me you are going to want to check it out if you are even a little interested in mmo gaming.

https://www.everquestnext.com/about-eqn a lot of info already there, read the FAQ's

here is a couple good articles that explains a lot of it.

^ that is the "landmark" program that is kind of like mindcraft, that lets you build things in the EQnext environment and put them on the live servers, i think soe approves which ones make it though.

personally, i think the game sounds innovated and has a lot of potential. but i am not a fan of the stylized graphics in an everquest game.

some of it reminds me of wow and is really "cartoony". but other than that, there is still a lot we don't know but one thing is for sure, it is not going to be more of the same thing we are used to.

by the way this is rumored to be on PS4 as well as PC.

Looks cool. I'm so tired of that graphics style. They had a great opportunity to go a little more in the direction of realism. I'm sure they want to attract the younger market too, as that's where all the real money is. Especially so in a free to play model with nickel and diming.

I'm still on the fence about the destructible environments. I'd like to know if they 'respawn' or everything stays broken. I'd be royally pissed if I spent all day building something and some troll came along and trashed it.

i dont think they have gone that much into detail yet but i am sure they have thought of that, that would be a huge issue if anyone could do that.

i would imagine it would have to be on a pvp server to do that as well. on a pve server i am willing to bet that isn't allowed. everything can be destroyed, that doesn't necessarily mean you are allowed to it in every situation.

we will see but it is a free to play game so you will get to try it out for yourself regardless.

you should watch these videos i just got done with if you got time, a lot of good info.

meh on the first two, but I really dug the concepts he was talking about in the 3rd one. He actually says there that the world heals back eventually. The AI and such sounds pretty neat and something new. Sounds like they tried to put a little terraria in there lol.
