In answer to your CP question. No they aren't smoother. They have a better grip to them than the standards controller has.

Well a lot of people who mod ouya controllers have had good results with plastidip. It is supposed to hold up over time a lot better than spray paint does. Just a tip.

Yea now that I have the blue grips I really am not touching the paint much. It's actually really comfortable with the grip kit (picked it up at gamestop)
