    • Just finished watching Godless, kind of wish they did more episodes.

In the 1880s American West, murderous outlaw gang leader Frank Griffin hunts for ex-protege Roy Goode. Frank's chase leads him to La Belle, New Mexico--a town inhabited, after a mining disaster, almost entirely by women.

        • The White Tiger was good. Like a darker, or maybe more realistic version of Slumdog.

          • There's a show called Stranger Things. I recently got to know about it from my friends. Binge watched 2 seasons in 4 days. Really loved it. I like to watch Sci-fi movies and web series. If anyone know any other series like it. Let me know.

Hey pal....you like some Alberta ranching show??!! Haha, I have watched Heartland (mostly since the pandemic began), and find it to be decent. Beautiful countryside, good cast, wholesome living. Have started watching Manifest a while back, and some other returning shows.

Do you watch Virgin River, which is filmed in B.C.? My sister loves it! I am ok with it, though some aspects of it are so so. But again, great location, and pretty good cast. For me, reasonably good late night tv (along with some of the other series) when I am not watching sports, and ready to crash.

                  • Should I be worried that my "kind, caring" wife watches so many murder mysteries???

But of course, no one ever suspects the husband or wife....

                    • Anyone watch Midnight Mass?

Have to say, halfway through, and it's definitely got horror attached to it. I think it's worth a watch if you like horror shows, but it is not always fast paced. But I will watch this Limited series through, because I am interested in how it all ends.

I watched it as part of my Halloween fix along with Squid game. It was ok. A bit too long and drawn out but I don’t regret watching it. Will save other thoughts to not spoil anything for you.

I saw it thru DB, and I wish we could chat about it without spoilers alerts...given we do not want to ruin it for anyone.

Growing up a Catholic, it did bring home all the masses and the procession of mass, hymns and so forth. Although there are a number of religions that are similar in process. Not going to discuss religion here of course, but I was a bit glued to things that way.

I was glad I watched it though, as I was caught up into the "plot" early on in the series. Lots of good vs evil messages.

                            • I often joke about The Hallmark movies, because they have almost the same theme but with minor twists. But if you look at the casts, the same folks show up here, there and everywhere. I take it Netflix has some of the same strategy. They must have multi picture contracts with many actors. For example, I mentioned I watched Midnight Mass. Some well known folks involved, and as usual, a number of relative unknowns who are pretty good actors looking for a break. So I'm thumbing thru some other Netflix shows to consider, and I see The Haunting Of Hill House, and there are at least a handful of the same actors from Midnight Mass....actually, Midnight Mass came after, so it took actors from THOHH.

I guess that's part of the new approach, though actors have long been signed for multi picture deals.

Netflix is basically just the largest cable channel in the country. There’s a lot of shows that have common actors. Movies too.

I think they do contracts for like a set number of years but they pick their jobs.
