  • Movies You Can Watch Over and Over and Over

I like a lot of movies. Some of them I can watch again, and still enjoy. Sometimes it's because I do not hear or catch onto everything the first time. In fact, many of them are better the second time, sort of like that leftover Chinese food you bought, that you polish off the next day.:thumb:

But some I have watched many times and have not really got tired of. Either I am simple and just keep falling for the same old act (try not to agree too quickly!!!), or these movies really speak to me. And if so, I am impressed that a movie could keep feeling good, time after time after time. I can name a few that have served me well, although I hate to admit, they may be finally losing some of their steam. Off the top of my head, some not so recent ones include:
    - Shawshank Redemption
    - Field Of Dreams
    - Apollo 13
    - Terms Of Endearment
    - The Cider House Rules
    - The Last Samurai

I could name more, and even include a number of ordinary comedies that just keep on making me laugh. "There's Something About Mary" or "Napoleon Dynamite" used to fit the bill as well.

So.....do you get my drift? Any particular movies you watched over and over, and still watch if in the mood, or it just happens to show up that night on your screen?

      Shawshank Redemption
      Sound of Music
      Predator
Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man
      Last Samurai
      Christmas Vacation

I am sure there are some others but those I stop and watch, every-time.

      EDIT:

How do I forget the original Star Wars trilogy and Raiders of the Lost arc series ( minus the stupid crystal skull one)

        The Sweetest Thing
        Happy Gilmore
Youngblood < when HBO or something plays it, I always watch again
Charlie and the chocolate factory - either one I'll never grow tired of

There is no such thing as a movie I can watch over and over and over. When my time could be much better spent watching a movie I've never seen before.

That said I do own plenty of movies where when enough time goes by I can watch them and enjoy them again. But I definitely don't have any movies that I watch every couple of months or even once a year.

A lot of movies like the comic book movies or fast and furious series I'll watch in theater and then again on DVD. But that's about it. And I rarely ever watch a movie more than twice.
