I figured I was taking over the what are you reading now thread and I feel I would just create a thread for discussion and news he releases since he does a pretty good job interacting with the fans and just discus some theories. And to see if anyone else reads his work and just never ventures over to the what are you reading now thread.

He writes fantasy and sci-fi for the most part and he has essentially two types of books. His Cosmere books and his other books.

Here is a little rundown on what the Cosmere is not much for spoilers in it but does have some minor spoilers. http://www.tor.com/2016/01/18/lets-t...ons-cosmere-2/

But here is a list of books he has released:

    In the Cosmere
    Elantris
Emperor's Soul (Novella) (These two take place on the same planet)

    Mistborn
    The Last empire
    Well of Acension
    Hero of Ages (First Trilogy)
    Alloy of Law
    Shadow of Self
    Bands of Mourning

    Warbreaker

    Stormlight Archive
    Way of the Kings
    Words of Radiance

    Novellas
    Shadows of Silence
    Sixth of the Dusk

And here are the non cosmere books
    The Reckoners
    Steelheart
    Mitosis (short story)
    Fireflight

    Alcatraz Books
    Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians
    Alcatraz Versus the Scrivener's Bones
Alcatraz Versus the Knights of Crystallia
    Alcatraz Versus the Shattered Lens

    Infinity Blade
    Awaking
    Redemption

    Legion Books
    Legion
    Legion Skin Deep

    The Rithmitist

    Short Stories
    Firstborn
    Defending Esylium
    Perfect State

He also finished the Wheel of Time once Jordan passed away.

I have read a good chunk of these still got a few to finishing reading up on but he does a good job releasing books as he usually has 3 books come out a year and even branching out into different medians. I believe the reckoners has a good chance of becoming a movie and his White sand story is going to be coming as a comic.

Next week his Bands of mourning drops and he has been releasing preview chapters every week including a cliff hanger of one this week to leave everyone waiting till next week to continue. For more you can read them here : http://www.tor.com/2016/01/18/excerp...g-chapter-six/

Started reading the Stormlight books again while waiting on Bands of Morning to finally drop next week. I forgot how good Kaladin's story was. I keep just wanting to skip Shallan and jump into his portion.

The number of times I don't know what to read and I go back and read the tower or the duel scenes to pass the time instead lol.

O and Brandon posted that he just finished part 1 of 5 for the third book and it will probably be the longest part.

Just started the first legion book but might just hold off till bands of mourning drops read that than reread the Rekoners books to have those ready for calamity next month.

Also...I have a gut feeling Spook's going end up being still alive. I didn't ever finish re-reading the Hero of Ages, how did he end up Mistborn? Not only that, how is it he's able to live over a century? He wasn't a Feruchemist... I couldn't figure how who they were referring to each time they mentioned "The Lord Mistborn" until they called him Lestibornes in this chapter.

            Spoilers for hero of ages

At the end after Sazed picked up the shards and was fixing everything he fixed spooks tin addiction and made him a full mistborn. As far as the century thing I'm guessing he was young as it was maybe 20 by the end so if he lived to be 100 or just over he would be pushing a century of rule on a normal life span but that is if pewter can help at old age.

Could also be he used spikes to do it to taking them from the old and sick. Seemed he learned a lot about hermulergy so those are my best guesses but yeah that cliff hanger sucks lol.

Reddit post by sanderson talking about his method for the third book and how he is going about. Kind of interesting that he views it as 3 books in each book.

I emailed him today seeing if I could get copies of the unfinished works that he gives out if you ask really, really nicely to those promising not to share. I need something new to read.

Yeah haven't done that yet, but you should break down and read his young adult books they are pretty solid.

Rekoners if you want a book with normal people trying to stop people with super powers or the rithmatist which is Brandon sanderson magic in a school setting. Both good books and not terribly long.

Yeah those are two pretty good characters and it is true hard to have it worse off than that guy. Waynes great wisdom he passes on lol

I think part of what makes Wayne so funny to me is reading it in Jason Statham's voice...It just fits the way it's written and makes it that much more hilarious.

Yeah I don't even know what voice I use for him. Big time when he is using someone else's accent. O it is mostly noble from the 4th octant with a trace of country side and a dash of troll eating a goat. And I'm just like ...... I have no idea how to copy that accent lol.

Just finished reading legion and was more in the boat of well let's read this to read all his books not expecting much since from the premise I got from the description I want expecting much. But I well say I enjoyed this book quote a bit and will probably read the second one here shortly. Nice array of characters all tied up in a petty short book.

Finished legion skin deep and it was longer than the first one and involved a couple more hallucinations and hinted at more about his condition. Overall I enjoyed it probably more than the first one another mystery / investigation type book.

Plus it referenced batman and that alone makes it good lol.

Was going to try to knock out sixth of the dusk but decided to just wait as I will be starting bands of mourning tomorrow.

After those two books won't have much left to catch up on his books. Won't be using my slush find on any additional books until after the superbowl because if we win I'm getting me a new jersey lol
