The Lip storyline is pretty good.. it can go either way but shows a few sides of him...

Carl remains a psychotic but very clever guy...probably my favourite character,,

Deb, my leave favourite is being developed, and they don’t do too bad with her..rather than being a peripheral character she takes on a Fiona role.

Liam continues to find an identity and add some comic relief too.,

Frank is frank... always fun to watch him skate by with moments of brilliance... after epic amounts of stupidity..his friend Mike is back.. they are great together..

Ian is Ian.. if I d they always had to work to make him fit their storyline,,,like they put one too many kid in the story,,and now don’t Know what to do with him.,

I love the focus on Ven and Kevin... they are pretty comical... a whole side show to them selves,,

If it’s the last season,, they need an epic ending,,,or an ending showing they are are going nowhere in life.

Haven't watched the most recent season yet. Is it on Netflix?

I loved this show, proper raw and gritty like the real suburbs of Manchester (I saw the original UK one). Frank Gallacher is a legend. Love the intro as well

I am really liking Shameless this season! I am not 100% on board with every character, but my favs are Lip (who I hope ends up using his mathematical genius at some point), Carl (gotta luv this little guy's toughness and character), Liam (such a smart, funny young dude), and Kevin (the ever likable, sometimes confused big guy). I like that they keep rolling along with a little less dramatics, as was the case with Fiona, and instead stay true to the creative crazy. And it will be interesting to follow Frank's journey as he forgets more. I laughed a lot watching the last show, and this is how I like Shameless and all its dysfunction and yet, family togetherness.

I am a bit sad to see Shameless end its run. I won't get into the finale, not until others want to discuss. Eleven years is an amazing success story, and if the characters I like were given solid roles going forward, I'd have liked a 12th.

Probably as good a time as any to end the show. Miss ya Frank, Lip, Liam, Carl and Kevin! Some of the others as well.

Wife and I finally finished the final season last night Can. Kind of sad at how it ended and that it’s over. I thought the show really excelled without Fiona this season and quite frankly I’m glad the show stuck to their stance that she wasn’t the reason people tuned in. The show did just fine without her and it was nice not having her drama. Though Deb brings plenty of that herself.

I couldn’t believe the way Frank’s story ended. I get it but not really the way I wanted to see it go out. Pretty much loved the ending for everyone else though and I thought it was well done. Couldn’t believe some of the flashbacks from what the cast looked like 12 years ago.

Yeah, as we discussed (I'm sure) there were some bumps in the show, especially when Fiona was getting to be too much. And Deb isn't my fav that's for sure. But very interesting ending, and yes, I miss some aspects of the show. Some excellent actors, great characters and loads of crazy scripts! The truly dysfunctional but loving family.
