I've actually always liked the kevin costner robin hood. Maybe its nostalgia but I enjoyed it even though his accent weaves in and out haha. Loved robin hood men in tights

How can you pass up the version that features Bryan Adams's best song?

I prefer Robin Hood with Russell Crowe & Cate Blanchett. In fact it's one of my favorite movies.

And if you want a more serious and well-crafted Robin Hood tale, I recommend the 2010 Robin Hood directed by Ridley Scott and starring Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, William Hurt, Mark Strong, Mark Addy, Oscar Isaac, Danny Huston, Eileen Atkins, and Max von Sydow.

Kevin Costner and Christian Slater should have one Emmy's just for their British accents
I'd love to see a version done similar to Batman Dark Knight that Christopher Nolan directed staring Christian Bale; a darker and more complex story and character dealing with his own demons...
Now that I think of it, Batman totally ripped on Robin Hood. Too funny.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves is one of my favorite movies. Loved it! Granted, I haven't seen it in about 5-10 years, but I loved it when it first came out and enjoyed for a decade+ afterwards.

Kevin Costner’s Robin Hood
So I never saw this when it came out in 1991, but saw it on Netflix and thought what the heck, I like Costner in a lot of his movies, especially his westerns, so maybe this one is a gem I missed.
Oh my gosh!! What an awkward movie. It started out good, but it got goofy pretty quickly. It’s like the director couldn’t decide if he wanted to go completely goofy or be completely serious. It made for a weird experience for sure. By the end I was laughing at how ridiculously stupid this movie was, despite some cool plot twists in the movie.
Anyways, has anyone else seen this movie and what are your thoughts?Tags: None
