Picard was also not great but it was better and at least watchable.

Strange new worlds however is off to a good start hopefully it continues. we are enjoying it.

Prodigy is also pretty good, even with the more child like atmosphere.

Lower decks is by far our favorite though, I hope that show gets a long life!!

    Currently rewatching Enterprise.

Did you continue to enjoy Discovery? what about the other new Treks?
To be honest. I have been unable to watch anything for two and a half years. I plan on catching up asap.

We just watched Ep6 of SNW and it continues to be great!

I agree about Q and Picard though i wish there was more Q in that season.

Id like a traveler series with Wheaton next. or just do the next next generation and lets see 100 years after Picard. I always wished there was more on the dominion war from DS9.
I had to sit and debate with myself whether or not to open this thread today, because yesterday was the rare circumstance where I didn't get to watch day of release.

But I can't turn down good ST discussion.

Yeah, it would be a shame if they did nothing else with Wesley after finally giving that storyline some closure. I'm not sure how much they plan to do, but I would be surprised if we didn't see him again.

I think Discovery jumping to the far future was a great decision for a number of reasons... giving it some breathing room from the state of things pre TOS and post TNG... new universe to discover, essentially.

Having Picard in the near future after TNG is great, and we get one more season after that.

I really am curious what else they will plan to do after Picard to fill in their roster. I think 100 years after Picard is as good a spot as any.... can jump the technology forward and make it more modern (not that they haven't already done that in Picard, but not as much as Discovery). Downside is being *slightly* hamstrung by whatever limits are placed on what we know of the time period from Discovery, but that would be true of any time period after Picard, so 100 years seems like a good number. Too much further and we get closer to stuff they've talked about... though one of those things was the apparent disappearance of the Q.

I'm just so happy to have more ST in my life. And having The Orville back too! I don't care it's not the same universe, it's a Trek show.

I enjoyed Discovery pretty well in its first two seasons. Definitely had its issues, and I understand the point of view of those who aren't fans of it (though I wish the fanbase was less toxic in disagreements, but that's normal for fanbases sadly). Third season was better in getting away from the past/retcon issues, though I wasn't a huge fan of how they handled some of that plot... I thought the 4th season was GREAT though.

Picard was a lot of fun, though again I understand those who have issues with it. Second season was better than the first, and even where there were problems, I felt the overall final work was great... the closure with Q and Picard in particular. Hit me in the feels.

Lower decks is great, and I hope it keeps going.

Prodigy is decent for a kids show, and it's great hearing Kate as Janeway again.

Strange New Worlds.... Is AMAZING. I've yet to see much in the way of complaints from anybody, and they're arguably off to one of the strongest starts ever for a Trek show, given how they usually take 1-2 seasons to get their footing. They seem to know exactly what the fans want/hoped for in this one, and they're delivering in spades.

I can't say enough good things about Strange New Worlds. I had really high expectations going in on that one, which is dangerous, but I'm blown away regardless.

I've just about caught up (one episode left) the show starts super slow, but the second season was fantastic.

I really hope they tie control in as the birth of the Borg in some way.

As for Picard other then all the feels of the cameos, im worried for this show. It just didnt feel like i think a Picard show should be. again im going to watch because Trek, but i am not going into it with high hopes.
I didn't like the first season, but it tied up nicely. I'm only about 5 episodes into season 2, but they seem to be distancing themselves from damaging historic trek cannon which is a lot of fans complaints. In fact, by the end of the first season, they essentially undid a lot of the damage done with the klingons and such without making a mess of everything. I have really enjoyed what I've seen so far.

Anyone been watching Discovery? I started watching it when it first came out and I absolutely hated the entire concept. made it like 5 episodes in and quit. Heard people raving over how good season two was so I went back and gave it a shot again, Season One finished strong, two episodes into Season Two and I actually shockingly love it.

    Then of course, there's this
