E3 canceled

Looks like no E3 this year as they canceled it earlier today due to the Corona virus. Sony had already dropped out of it as they did last year but was still expecting a decent showing with new consoles coming later this year.

Looks like it will be more Nintendo direct style with a few of them. Sony I'm guessing already has something planned for their console and Microsoft already announced they will have a steam with details coming in the next few weeks.

Everything is getting canceled. Odd that E3 is calling it so early but I guess it everyone coming would need months to prepare and may not be able to do so or don’t want to if it was up in the air.

Honestly in 2020 I’m kind of surprised it’s not a permanent streaming type show anyway. They can announce everything without fans showing up to demo stuff.

It originally was a great networking thing for developers and fans only recently have been able to get into it. But E3 has been dying and this might be the nail in the coffin. Was always a fun time setting the new games but like you said more and more are able to drop trailers on their own schedule.
