  • See what song was No.1 on the day you were born

    Have you seen this?

It shows you what was No.1 in the charts on the day you were born.
(Go to Birthday No.1 at the top of the site).

    My number 1's are
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK

Loads of other good fun music trivia on the site as well.

US - That's The Way (I Like It) KC & The Sunshine Band

        D.I.V.O.R.C.E. - Billy Connolly

        Hmmm

One song sucks, the other I have never heard of.

Most importantly, KISS's "Alive!" album was released that day. It must have been destiny that they would be my favorite band.

UK: Pass the Dutchie -- Musical Youth (never heard of it...sounds funny though).

USA: "Information is not Available" (Apparently here in the U.S. the music community was so in awe and reverance at my birth that they just stopped playing music).

I can remember it unfortunately! A group of kids, between 8 & 16 years old (I think). Sort of reggaeish tune, if I remember correctly a Dutchie is some sort of Jamaican cooking pot. I think they did the same thing that most child star do, went completely off the rails.

Lyrics to "Still" by THE COMMODORES: Lady, morning's just a moment away / And I'm without you once again / You laughed at me / You said you never needed me / I wonder if you need me now / [Chorus:] / So many dreams that flew away / So many words we didn't say / Two people lost in a storm / Where did we go? / Where'd...

That was a big hit for them. Maybe you're too young? I was 4 or 5, but I remember it.

                        For my 21st:

UK: Breathe "The Prodigy" (Breathe is still together???Geez...they must be pushing 50)

US: Sorry! Number 1's being added - this feature will be working on Monday 31st Jan 2005.

                        Hmmmm...Today is Feb 17, 2005. Slackers.

Through my own research, I found out it was "Don't Speak" by No Doubt. A song that I kinda like. The bass part is cool, and the harmony vocals are cool too. Its an alright tune.

yes. But that was actually a change. It was from some Jamaican folk tune that originally went "pass the kutchie (spelling)?" Anyway, that word means "joint", so the label was like...ummmmm we can't have kids singing that.......lets change it.

Yeah, I think we all knew what it meant at the time though. Hell, I was only 7 and I knew what it meant.
