Ray and the boys, they are the ones who do Route 66.

    It was awesome!

I felt like it was the old days again.
I saw them at a George Strait festival in Vegas. They are quite good. After them we saw:

    Jody Messina
    Dixie Chicks
    Kenny Chesney
    Tim McGraw
    and the man himself
    George Strait.

We took a couple of people with us that don't listen to country music and after that show they do.

And Perry1977 can KISS MY ASS!

How do you sleep at night knowing that you have claimed unsuspecting victims? (Joking)
I've walked these streets, a loaded six-string on my back, I play for keeps 'cause I might not make it back, I've been everywhere still I'm standin' tall, I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all!!:salute!:

It is funny. My best friend, one of the "victims" says he doesn't hate country music but doesn't listen to it.

Then I catch him singing to a song on the radio. LOL!

Well, they are damned infectious! I wouldn't say that I hate it but I do not have much respect for it.

Jumpin' on this thread a little late...

While I agree on the general lack of genuine talent anymore, I think the same can be said for rap and hip-hop as well. I used to enjoy rap, but anymore it's like listening to a broken record. The worst is when you get collaboration between two genre's that lack originality, e.i., country and hip-hop, and you end up with a horrible bastard child song that sounds like every other song you've heard 'over and over again'.

Yeah, crossover music is definately the work of Satan. How about Nelly, the guy can't even sing. Have you heard the remake of that 80's song that he butchered?

Have yet to hear it, but it doesn't sound like I'm missing much.
