I'd like to start off by saying that I think the first 'XXX' with Vin Diesel was overdone in many places, it was an okay action flick. I figured they were going to try to make this into the next James Bond series, but I guess I thought they'd stick with the same actor for a bit longer than one movie. I like the idea of putting Ice Cube into the new one, he's not a bad actor considering most of the guys that try to cross over aren't worth a crap or play weak roles. Any thoughts, this is more for discussion than anything.

Ice Cube will be the downfall of that movie. The previews looked rediculous.
Plus, Ice Cube just doesn't do it...I hate when they replace the star of the movie with someone else and then they have to make up some story...

Not really sure why they made another one other than the fact that they wanted to. I didn't think the first one was great, but it was better than some of the crap I've watched. The thing that threw me off of the first one was some of the ridiculous names..."Anarchy 99" and "Silent Night". I might give this one a chance, I think Ice Cube can make a pretty believable p***ed off dude, so this might not be a total bomb, though I doubt I'll go see it in theatres.Comment

I think they...I know they went a little overboard on the whole 'badass' Rambo like deadly crazy killin mother ****er attitude. The trailor to that movie made it just look terrible. "We need you to protect the president" ...What the hell. I will admit that I like movies with a guy that can't ever seem to beaten nor hurt. Such as all the Steven Seagal movies, or Jean-Claude Van Damme. They have some pretty unrealistic crap in them, but I still love watching it.sigpicComment

I'm with you Jim, I think they're kinda like the whole UFC thing, which I love...they are linked by the fact that guys like to see someone be able open up a can of 100% pure whoop-a** on someone. With the case of movies, it is sometimes a little unrealistic, but still fun to watch.Comment
