Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

One band i found kinda recently thats got a pretty cool sound is A Perfect Circle. Their first cd " Mer de Noms" has more kinda... energy than their newest, but most of their music is pretty good.

However, as much as Top 40 has always been about marketing (and it has), it seems that within the past 10 years or so, producers and looks count more than voice.
I don't care if you are a producer driven pop singer ( i.e. Donna Summer, Celine Dion) as long as you can sing. I may not care for your music, but that's subjective.
But the pop singers no longer even have to sing that well. J. Lo, Ashlee Simpson, Ryan Cabrera, John Mayer.....all have very thin voices and very limited range.
I was considered a 'below average' singer when I was in bands, and I know for a fact that I have more range than ANY of those artists. I just tend to be flat at times.....should have never staretd smoking!
Anyway, the only voice I have heard recently in pop music that made me go.....hm......they have a good voice, has been P!nk. her songs are so-so, but she can sing.
I haven't been excited by anything on rock radio since 2002. Crossfade is hooky, but derivative. Three Doors Down is ok, but they are formulaic song writers. And so much of everything else is completely devoid of hooks or talent. Tool needs to put out some new music. So does Staind. And System of a Down. Those bands are amazing songwriters.
I am pretty happy with the Alternitive stuff that is coming out, but I just don't think it is good as stuff that was coming out in the 90s. I can't stand Top 40 anymore though.
I am forced to listen to the top 40 channel practically daily and the music is completely going down hill.
There are some great songs out there that I like but the main two that I cannot stomach at all is the new J-Lo with that annoying saxaphone that plays the same 3 notes over and over and over....
The other new one they are playing right now is what sounds like the chipmunks singing "lonely, I'm so lonely.... " PATHETIC! (Don't know the artist)
Bands like Sugar Ray and Matchbox 20 (my personal fav) are great and need to release new music. Our local station doesn't even play the new U2 AT ALL! What is up with that?
