  • Spike TV is pathetic

They are showing Platoon tonight. I am trying to watch the movie, but every 7 minutes they take a commercial break. That's right, every 7 minutes, a commercial break. I timed it with a stopwatch because it was pissing me off. Then they take commercial breaks that equal the time that they show the movie. It is a 2 hour movie, but it is taking 3 because of the breaks. Really, I understand that commercials help pay for the showing. But when you don't even give the viewers a chance to watch the movie for a decent length of time, you have to ask if it is really worth it.

As long as Spike T.V. shows me massive amounts of MXC I cannot consider it pathetic!

They're also dumb for getting rid of the WWE, their highest rated show.

No, because that means more UFC. Take that WWE crap and throw it in the trash!

I like the UFC and everything, but if it wasn't for that nice convienient timeslot right after RAW, they definately would not have had as many viewers.

All that aside Spike TV is making a big mistake moving the Ultimate Fighter show to Saturday nights and not leaving it on Monday night. They target males 18-35 and they're usually going out on Saturday nights.

'The Ultimate Fighter: Seaon 1" is over though. The only Saturday episode they had was the finale. What I mean is actual UFC events. FoxSportsNet is supposed to be holding some live events for them, instead of previously PPV taped ones. So far, I don't think I've seen any plans for the UFC on Spike besides the reality show. I do understand that RAW would still bring in more viewers though.

I haven't seen it on there in a long time though

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

ive had a dream of growing up, getting rich, and turning into a crazy free spending billionare, and creating a network around what hardcore TV junkies, and internetheads want to watch, as well as a spice of mainstream BS to keep ratings up, i would call it "HCTV" or Hard Core Television, but due to many lawsuits about the name, I would then change it to "Jim's Tottaly Awesome TV Network, Arent You Jealous". JTATV, AYJ" would have renound success for its real connection with its hardcore fanbase, and never trying to emulate any other network's ideas.

I was talking about the Ultimate Fighter show "season 2" being moved to Saturdays. Bad move IMO, just leave it where it is.

That's cool that FoxSportsNet will actually be airing live events, i like watching some of the old stuff but if we can get some shows for free i'm all for it.
