"You Light Up My Life" is a ballad written by Joseph Brooks, and originally recorded by Kasey Cisyk for the soundtrack album to the 1977 film of the same title. The song was lip synced in the film by its lead actress, Didi Conn. The best-known cover version of the song is a cover by Debby Boone, the daughter of singer Pat Boone. It held the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for ten consecutive weeks in 1977.

Blinded By The Light - Manfred Mann's Earth Band (1976)

The song was written and recorded by Bruce Springsteen in 1973. But Manfred Mann's version became a hit (unlike Springsteen's). The track reached No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian RPM charts. And Manfred Mann's version is Springsteen's only No. 1 single as a songwriter on the Hot 100; his highest charting single as a solo performer was "Dancing In The Dark" in 1984, which reached No. 2 on the Hot 100 and Canadian RPM Chart,

            • "Going Down" written by Don Nix and Gabriell Lewis and covered by many including Freddie King, Jeff Beck, Deep Purple, JJ Cale, Pearl Jam, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Joe Satriani, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Joe Bonamassa, etc. I have it on Freddie King's album Getting Ready (1971) produced by Leon Russell and Don Nix with Leon on piano and Donald Duck Dunn on bass, guitar and vocals by Freddie, of course.
