While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Does anyone monitor this thread? How do you know if a song has been used before without going through 700 pages?
No, no one does that
...for the reason you pointed out: it'd be unhumanly tedious; plus, this game would eventually stall if we had to retire a song title that was posted 2 years ago.
There's sort of an unofficial rule that I adhere to - others may also, but that's entirely their prerogative:
Say there's a string of titles going, all matched off one same word in common. Then it'd be pretty much frowned upon to use one of those same titles again until someone uses a different word in the title to match to their new post. (Hope I explained that clearly enough.)
And in general it's also not good form to repeat a song title from the same page. ...You're right, it'd be a ridiculous requirement to ask someone to go back and check every single page in this thread; but not expending the effort to check the page that you're on smacks of laziness.
Finally, one of the biggest taboos is to repeat a title that the previous song was matching off of. (Kindof like the "no-tagbacks" rule on the school playground. Heh.)
