Should we really have this "Entertainment" forum?

Should we really have this "Entertainment" forum? It seems like these topics move pretty slow now that they are no longer in the "General Topics" forum. What do you think?

i never understood the point of splitting this out of the ABF forum. like you said, these threads don't get the same attention as they used to, i guess that means there are people who just vist ABF but don't come in here. plus having these fun topics in there may have served to defuse some of the tension started in the political threads.

I, for one, don't care one way or the other, but I do find myself coming in here a lot less than in ABF. And now that the season has started, I think I'll probably be checking in here even less, to be honest.

I'd mix it back in with ABF. However, I honestly didnt check to see how many threads, or how active this forum is.

I will say that I dont visit this forum as much as I normally would. I like entertainment, but I guess I just dont think to cruise over here very often. I kinda miss talking Trek and movies sometimes, but that's my own doing.....

I still think there should be a forum for High School sports. Those threads should be moved out of ABF, and these put back in.

Here's my suggestion for the next change in forums;

Add a High School Sports Forum.

Replacing the Rumor Mill alltogether.

Mix Entertainment back into ABF, at least until after the football season is over.

I like it. In the general forum you have to pass through a lot of politics and religion and what not. I like a good political discussion once and a while, but a lot of times I get drawn in to stuff thats all too often opinion wars.

In the entertainment forum I can have a quick 5 minute escape from work and not worry about being drawn into something like that. Its easier to navigate and find stuff like the Firefly or Survivor threads, for example, when there is a place like this.

I change my mind. The entertainment board is really slow and dull.

I think it is good to have. The ABF forum would get overcrowded and the entertainment threads would get pushed down to the bottom and won't even be looked at.

IMO, no because I think, it's best to have fewer forums because that way there is one active forumish kind of thing. Like other NFL boards have NFL, then that's broken up into AFC and NFC then that's broken up into AFC West, NFC East, etc. And then that's broken up into each individual team for each one. It wastes left bandwidth or something like that and it's better to have an active forum. Of course there needs to be forums to divide the stuff up but I mean that way it's not as divided up.
