The main reason I don't like the Bronco's is because every time I see their logo it reminds me of my drunk boyfriend who used to write his name in the snow with his urine then belch the letters of Elway's name----- Sandra Bernhard 1993

Sorry, but Speilberg doesn't amaze me, I have to go with Oliver Stone! Not only did he write the screenplay for "SCARFACE" but he has directed wonderful films such as "Platoon", "Heaven and Earth" , "Natural Born Killer" "U Turn" and "Talk Radio"

Ok, I voted for Spielberg, very boring of me. Not so keen on his recent stuff, but he is responsible for my all time favorite movie, Jaws...can you tell I'm an intellectual?...
I love Clinton, and I don't mean Bill.

        WOW, this is tough

My favorite would have to be Kubrick. He made one of my favorites of all time, any movie I can see more than one time is a GREAT movie, in my world -

        FULL METAL JACKET

He also did the Shining, which I though was a great movie and I liked Eyes Wide Shut

I love Mafia movies, so I have to include Socrsese for Goodfellas and Casino, and I also like Taxi Driver

Coppola has to take the cake with mafia movies of course, Godfather

Stone did some great ones with Natural Born Killers, Any Given Sunday, and Platoon, but none of them is an all time favorite for me although I do love Scarface too.

Howard is an extremely talented individual but hasnt done an all time for me.

Speilberg for all around entertaining films, I love Jaws, who couldnt, esp. if you were a kid when that movie came out.....

I didnt know who Zwick was, lloked him up at didnt see much that caght my eye, along with Nichols and Forman

I HATE Woody Allen, I have never been able to watch more than 5 minutes of anything he's done or been in.....I just dont like him.

This made me think, has anyone played the new game "Scene It"

If you are a movie buff, you are gonna really like this game. It's fun.

Ooooo, a good director you forgot has to be Ted Demme

He did Blow, which I loved and Silence of the Lambs

And Mel Brooks, for comedy he's got to be the best

            Blazzing Saddles is a classis

Ted Demme and Jonathan Demme are two totally different guys.

              Ted did BLOW and Airheads!

JONATHAN is the Oscar Winning director of "Something Wild" "Silence of Lambs" and "Philadelphia" he also did "Beloved" which was his worst mistake!

Edward Zwick by the way is the director of "Glory" "Legends of the Fall" and "The Last Samari"

Mike Nichols is the director of "Wolf" and other Comedies

Milos Foreman is the director of "People vs. Larry Flynt", "Man on the Moon" "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Amadeus"

                This poll is too hard.

But I love every movie from Kubrick, and I can't say that about every director here.

What about Michael Mann? Heat, the Insider, Last of the Mohicans, Manhunter, The Thief, Ali, as well as episodes of Cheers, M*A*S*H, All in the Family and others in the 70's? He should at least be on the list, no? Also, so should Ridley Scott and Robert Altman.

Well, it made 85 mil, so somebody must have seen it. But not popular doesn't = not good.

He also had an acting part in "Smokey and the Bandit'!!!!!! That counts for something too......or maybe not.

My bad, damn there dhall, you still in a bad mod, heh?

I guess the reason I dont know that much about the others is cause none of those movies float my boat......

Could be one of the reason why I suck at the game Scene It too, LOL

No...him movies make the most money, but I don't think he has done anything the groundbreaking in a long while. The effects and the stories in Jaws and E.T. and Close Encounters were all top notch, mostly the stories, but other than "Schindler's List", he hasn't really done anything out of the ordinary. "Schindler's List" made me angry and cry and just...it was a good movie.
