  • New sci-fi shows

I have to say, if there was just one of these types of shows, I might give it a chance. But as there are at least 3 which appear to have pretty much the same plot, I think I'll pass on them all.

    Invasion, Threshold, Surface

Why is it that when one network is coming out with something every other network thinks to copy it? They end up just cancelling each other out, as I'm going to ignore all of them.

None of them look interesting to me at all.

And I'm as big a Sci-fi as there is.

I'll continue to watch the brillant new Battlestar Galactica though.

I love Battlestar Gallactica too. Unfortunately Friday night always seems to have something going on, or my wife and I completely forget and we watch a movie, then realize what we did later. I wish it was on INDEMAND, then I could catch up in one day. As it is now, I've missed the last several episodes, so I may just end up waiting till the season reairs or it hits DVD.

          Two thumbs up...

          (hijack!)

They are doing a GREAT job with Battlestar Galactica, I agree with you guys. Another one I'm looking forward to is Serenity, that looks pretty cool.

Two thumbs down to Tripping the Rift, freakin stupid show

They are going to make a Star Wars based tv show in a few years. I really hope its a gritty drama like Battlestar Galactica and not some quaint thing like Stargate or some of the Star Trek shows where you know nobody's going to get hurt and everything gets resolved at the end of an episode.

What I like about Battlestar was that the episode concludes, but you know they aren't out in the clear and there is still a war going on. I liked the Next Generation and Deep Space Nine when they were on, but they were too episodic.

I very much am a Sci-Fi person and none of those shows interest me.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Well, if you think Serenity looks good then you should get Firefly. The tv show Serenity comes from.

Haven't seen the first episode of Fathom.

                  Invasion starts tomorrow at 10.

Threshold is semi interesting... only becuase of the people behind it.
Brannon Braga from behind the scenes on Start Trek and David Goyer writer of the Blade Trilogy & Batman Begins. Read what the general direction is for the series as they mapped it out for three seasons.

Brannon Braga ruined Trek so that's really not a selling point.

David Goyer is ok at best.
