I LOVE them both equally.
My two favorites though are Return of the Jedi and Revenge of the Sith
Mainly because my favorite character is Emperor Palpatine.Comment

The original three (4,5,6) were and will always be my favorites.
I really liked Episode 3 though, probably my fav out of the the first 3.Comment

Individually Episode 3 was the best IMO, Episode's 1 and 2 were decent, but as a whole I'd have to go with 4,5, and 6...you just can't beat the originals

Empire Strikes Back is the best. The original Star Wars is second but pretty close.
The rest, to me, seemed like Lucas was more interested in merchandising than in making great films. His stories became too cliched and the directing went downhill and Lucas seemed to rely too much on CGI. And it sure seemed like Lucas managed to take some good actors and get mediocre acting performances out of them in Eps. 1 - 3.
I still enjoyed them overall (except for Jar-Jar and 3P0 in Ep. 2) but Episodes 1, 2, 3 and 6 just didn't measure up to Episodes 4 and 5; the later films just weren't as well made despite the great visuals.
In my opinion, of course..."You can't take the sky from me..."

I like them all equaly but Revenge of the Sith is my favorite because I like movies when someone turns Bad.

I've got to go with the original trilogy. Jar-Jar aside, the prequels are OK, but I found it much more difficult to feel any empathy for the characters.
Maybe that's cause I'm an old git now, or maybe it's because I knew that almost all the characters that were being introduced would end up dead or maybe cause George Lucas, although a great story-teller, doesn't write good dialogue I'm not sure.
But the originals still do the biz for me, especially with the revamped sound effects....that really sets them off.The Whiskyteers ~ One for all, and all for MORE!!!!
