Yes Lou Rawls made an impact on alot of people's lives. He had a great voice. Did you ever see him year and years ..........did I say years ago when he did guest appearances on westerns? He always had nice cameo roles.Leave a comment:

Great voice, and a real gentleman!!
I met Lou years ago when I was a teen. I was on a flight to Maui by myself, and seated in the first row of Coach. I sat next to this older gentleman and we talked all the way there.
We get off the plane, and he meets his employer, whos walking out of first class.
It's LOU!!
The guy intoduces me, and the three of us deplane.
Walking down the stairs, my mom, there to pick me up, starts screaming!!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH LOU RAWLS??????????
Now I am just 17 or so, and had no clue. He tells me it's ok, not too many teens know his work, lol. He signs my ticket, and gives my mom a kiss on the cheek, which sends her into a frenzy like a little teen girl at a Beatles concert!
Never seen her act that way.
She took my ticket , and never gave it back.
Really nice guy. He passed me on the beach a few days later and stopped by to say 'HI". Luckily, my mom wasnt around to cause a scene. That the guy remembered me, and took the time to stop and talk to me again made my day that afternoon.
