OMG!!!
Last night I caught a movie called "Crash" on HBO and I thought this one deserved it's own discussion thread.
It was dated 1996 starring James Spader and Holly Hunter. Both respectable actors and I had never even heard of this one before.
This movie had to be the most whacked out thing I have ever seen.
On the freak-o, bizzare, sick, twisted and OMG WTF meter this thing was an 11/10.
But plot and story line was very confusing. The ending sorta explained what was going on but I was so lost i just went...huh?
I could not believe what I was seeing in this flick. There were a couple of seens that just totally blew my mind:
The basic story line of this married couple "getting off" on auto wrecks was just the beginning. It was a sexual fantasy of theirs and they would openly share their infidelities with other victims. The car wash scene totally blew my mind and towards the end, the two men just had me go... "You have GOT to be kidding me"
The other scene of them driving by a wreck, caused by one of their "cult" members was way off base. Taking pictures while at the scene and actually sitting in one of the banged up cars would never be allowed in the real world while emergency crews are pulling out people and dealing with the mess.
This movie was totally unbelievable. Has anyone of you seen this? If so....help me out here if you can. I believe the idea was that they wanted to die in a car crash and at the end, when the husband ran his own wife off the road, and failed to kill her, was the most bizzare ending I have ever seen.
