  • Extol -- "Burial" CD 1999.
Christian Extreme Metal from Norway. This is a very good album. Extol are heavy enough for my taste and offer some complex riffs/tempo changes. I have a few of their CD's, but hadn't listened to them since last summer...... time to listen to their other stuff again.

The song "Gone is My Former Resolve" is incredible. The latter section of the song slows down....... the guitar drops to the background.... and Cello takes over as the melody........ male and female vocals alternate to complete the lines

                      In Unison-- Sorrow..................."

Very moving song............ Cello and guitar were made for each other (Or, in the case of Celtic Frost, French Horn and Guitar were made for each other).
