While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.

Did Brokeback Mountain make some "cowboys" hang up their hats?
I heard that Brokeback Mountain has caused some "Cowboys" to get rid of the gear. It apears that some of the Cowboys were getting in fights with other folk because they would tease them with things like "Where's your boyfriend Nancy?" and stuff like that. I guess the straight cowboys didn't want to be confused with the gay ones, Because we all know there's like a million of those now.
With a dying breed already almost dead, this movie killed the rest. For a good time now, every time someone sees someone in a cowboy hat, they will wonder if they are queer or not. Homosexuality is wrong and an abomination to God, and any movie that praises it is an insult and makes me sick.
Yea its starting to hit my school. But theres still to many. I mean we got the kids with the wrangler pants shirts tucked in cowboy boots. Then we got the kids with wrangler jeans,Carhart Jackets,and steel toed boots. And where i live theres one time with country land but we have no farmers just wanna-bes.

And honestly, do you think that most of the cowboys around today really will give up being cowboys because some Hollywood movie pointed out that there are some gay cowboys??
If so, those cowboys are weak anyway. I mean, as if they'd say, "I'm gonna give up my lifestyle and cultural identity because of some movie." That's just stupid.

yeah it probably did. i mean it is about gay cowboys eating tapioca pudding. I hated this movie i thought it was just retarded. a chick flick crossbred with a wester which our my 2 most hated movie genres.

Yeah, I don't think REAL cowboys and ranch hands will give up their jobs or anything but I do think that some of the "cowboys" that wear the gear just for fashion are hanging up their hats. Homophobia is still a huge deal in these little backwood towns where alot of these "cowboys" are anyway.

I also do say alot of things are gay but i dont mean "gay" literally. I mean gay as in it sucks.
