Did Brokeback Mountain make some "cowboys" hang up their hats?

I heard that Brokeback Mountain has caused some "Cowboys" to get rid of the gear. It apears that some of the Cowboys were getting in fights with other folk because they would tease them with things like "Where's your boyfriend Nancy?" and stuff like that. I guess the straight cowboys didn't want to be confused with the gay ones, Because we all know there's like a million of those now.

I heard that they were changing customs to native americans, construction workers, policemen and were practicing some dance routines.... Y..... M ....
