  • Queensryche -operation Mindcrime 2

To all you Queensryche fans out there.

Rock, Revenge, Redemption… the long-awaited sequel. Queensryche’s 1988 opus Operation: Mindcrime is a musically adventurous rock opera revolving around Dr. X, a political puppet master who brainwashes Nikki, the story’s main character, to assassinate corrupt public figures. The story also includes Nikki’s lover, Sister Mary. A former teenage prostitute who becomes a nun, Sister Mary is murdered mysteriously, leaving the cliffhanger, “Who Killed Sister Mary?” Set 20 years after the original, Queensryche’s new 2006 studio album, Operation: Mindcrime II, explores Nikki’s fate after being released from prison and reveals the identity of Mary’s killer.

This album is only 11 days away. It comes out on April 4 th 2006. there is a video for the first single which is titled I'm American. the song ROCKS and it's HEAVY so check it out.

Even if Manning has to throw the ball underhand, the Broncos believe they have a better quarterback than the one who beat the Steelers in the playoffs last season.

      One of my favorite bands.

I heard about this in September on the bands website.

BONUS: Dr. X will be played and sung by Ronnie James Dio, supposedly closer to his baritone speaking range than his usually high pitched wail. That should sound different.

Everybody's gotta elevate from the norm...

The greatest list of music I don't own on CD
You should check these guys out

Wow, Geoff Tate and Ronnie James Dio, two of the best voices in Rock, IMO. I wonder if RJD will sing at all, or just give a few lines like X did in Mindcriime.

During the Building Empires tour, they did Mindcrime in total on stage. It was an awesome theatrical setup. I saw it twice and even bought the video.

I thought the demise of Mary was revealed on the screens, ever so quickly, at the end. I could say what I saw, but don't want to spoil unnecessarily.
Victory and defeat are matters of the temporary force of circumstance.

                Thanks, Snk16!!

Well I must admit that building Empires tour was awesome but it does not even compare to the shows they have been doing the last 2 years. This time around , they did a first set of greatest hits and then took a break. The second half was a complete presentation of Operation Mindcrime 1. This part was full with actors who played the parts of Nikki , Mary , Dr.X , nurses , and doctors. Sister Mary was of course played by Pamela Moore who is the original singer of Suite sister Mary. There is even a VERY DRAMATIC scene in the show where we see Mary's demise, however we shall see in Operation Mindcrime 2 if that was REAL or an illusion.
They are hitting the road shortly for this tour and this time around they are performing BOTH Operation Mindcrime 1 and 2. Once again full with all the actors. If you ever liked Queensryche I would safely say to check this show out cuz it's like no other show you've ever seen and I assure you it will be one show you will NEVER FORGET !!!!!!

                  RYCHE ON !!!!

That's a hell of a drive, but I would love to do it. Hmmm...

I am sorely tempted. Let me get back to you on that.
