Serinity is a pretty good movie. I have never seen Firefly though and actually didn't even know that Serinity was a spin off of it.

Yeah, I've been waiting for this for a long time.

It'll look great in HD. The effects of the show are pretty amazing for tv.

Those of you who haven't seen Firefly should check it out.

It's better than 99% of the crap they have on tv nowa days.

You can the DVD set super cheap on Amazon.

And last time I checked, it was their highest rated product.

Not suprising, the show is incredible.

Ohh and uhhh, this is in the wrong forum by the way.

Is that what your sig is from?

I will have to check it out on UHD in September.

I coudln't get into the show when it aired on Fox, but my wife liked it. I thought the movie was pretty good, so I will give the series another shot.

Universal HD. It one of the handful of channels that DirecTV carries. I think Dish too, and probably some of the cable outlets, but don't know about that for sure.

They show a combination of movies and TV shows. They show Battlestar episodes from '04 and '05, medical investigations, Knight rider, surface, Quantum Leap, Century City, Equalizer, Law Order SVU. Stuff like that. Some real old, some a year or so old. Some, like Century City, and now Fire Fly, only lasted a season or so.

Well, I guess you'll just have to buy the extremely affordable DVD set.

With the way FOX treated the show, I'm not suprised.

They gave it no advertising, showed episodes out of order, prempted it for baseball and the didn't even show the original pilot untill the show was canceled.

And although it isn't too arc driven, the character development is such that it's very important to watch all the episodes in their proper order.

Many people have said that watching on DVD was a night and day difference from what they remember on FOX.

Although every episode is good, it really turns it up a notch at episode 6 (Our Mrs Reynolds) and onward.
