  • Korn, Stone Sour & Deftones tonight

I'm getting off work in about an hour to go see Infest 2006... I'm probably most excited to see Stone Sour again, then Korn and then Deftones... I've seen all of them previously, but it's been like 5 years since I've seen Korn.

I'm wondering how much new stuff Stone Sour is going to play-- Either way Corey Taylor always puts on an awesome show, so I'm pumped... Hopefully Deftones show me something, because the last time I saw them I was kinda bored by their show.

I'll let everyone know how it goes if anyone is interested...

Thanks man... You're right about those 10 dollar seats... I saw Avenged and Disturbed last month for the same price... And the best part is that my friends have had seats for both shows so they snuck me down for Disturbed/Avenged and they'll sneak me down below again tonight.... $45 seat for $15 bucks, can't beat that.

          damn, sounds sweet.

I don't care for Deftones, but I'm sure they're decent.

I probably won't go to another concert 'til November. Black Stone Cherry is opening for Black Label society here in Tulsa.
          Go Huskers.

The Deftones kick ass, I bet they'd put on a good show. Last time I saw them they were spot on. Usually hit or miss. . . I'd say it'll be a HIT tonight. Enjoy!

                  hellz yeah.

The only problem is that my sister want to go again. This is beyond me because last time, she demanded to leave 3 songs into the set. Hopefully my dad can talk her out cuz she'll have a huge chip on her shoulder if she wants to go, but isn't allowed.

Well, the show was frieking awesome! As if there were any doubt...

Stone Sour played some stuff off of their new album, closed with Get Inside- they tore it up and Corey Taylor was funny/ right on with his vocals... Jim Root seemed skinnier then he used to be, I'm wondering if he got healthy or if he developed a Blow problem.

Deftones were the big surprise of the night for me... Their performance was awesome- 1000 times better than the last time I saw them. Chino sounded great & they played 7 words so I was happy... The 2nd song they kicked into My Own Summer (Shove it) and the crowd went nuts.

The best part of all this is that I was probably 10 rows back- with great seats...

Korn tore it up-- I hadn't seen them since Head quit though, so their live show has changed big time... Now they've got like 4 extra guys running around in masks- It was kinda like slipknot for a second. They have an extra drummer, a new keyboardist/special percussion, head's replacement on guitar + some other guy-- And they all wear masks-- so there are like 8 people on the stage at any given time....

They sounded as good as ever though-- And still play louder than any other bands I've seen... My ears are still ringing like crazy today, I wouldn't be surprised if I did some serious damage to my ears... (I love it )

Great show- their encore was Twisted Transistor & Blind- I wouldn't have minded to hear a couple more old school songs or 1 or 2 off of Issues, but they still played a great set.

It's been a while since I went to a show and honestly liked 3 bands. I would have paid to see any one of them as a headliner.

I'm 95% sure that head's replacement is Chritian Olde Wolbers of Fear Factory and Mnemic.

He's waaaayyy more talented than head, but doesn't really fit the ''Korn'' mold.
