  • terminator 4?

the past couple of days i watched the first and second terminator movies and got thinking about how cool a terminator 4 would be if it was based off the future wars I didnt think much about the 3rd movie but they led into a 4th based on the future war pretty well

I always remember watching the first two and after seeing them flash into the war of the future I thought that would be an awesome idea. I think it would be even better if they didnt have any of the previous characters in it. And no cheesy graphics...

    what do you think?

I rather liked the Terminator series.

But, I must add that Hollywood likes to ruin franchises by making sequel after sequel, prequel after prequel.

I was interested in this new Bond film. But, it is a prequel. It is about how Bond became 007. It is like a parallel universe where all the other movies are going to be ignored and they are 'starting fresh'.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

Oh, forgot to answer that question.

I think they could make one. If they did I Might check it out after it has been released. I'd like then to use the film to connect with all of them. Showing 'Reese' going back in time ... et cetera. I find it interesting that the 'Metal Gear' game series used his image from the original terminator on the cover of their games for the 'Solid Snake' character.

        About 'Leon:The Professional' thanks.

I love that film (in fact it is my favorite film). I have used this signature as my signature on Dawg Talk for years - thought I'd do the same here. Perhaps in the hope that if someone I know from DT comes to these boards they'll recognize me.

yeah i think it would be interesting because i would like to see how we start beating skynet in the future enough to make the computer start sending units back in time

              I say leave it.

I loved Terminator, Terminator 2 was and always will be one of my favorite movies, Terminator 3 was less than thrilling.

I really think the series is fine how they left it.

I feel if they make a future one, it will be to shove CGI or whatever down our throughts, hoping we mistake it for a good movie.

If it had a nice plot twist, I would be all for it, but right now I dont really see where it could go beyond mindless explosions (which can be cool, just not with this kind of legacy!).

Part of the appeal of the other Terminator movies is that they brought technology from the future into the world of today, and showed how much ass it kicked. This would be a different kind of movie, thematically. The Terminator movies have always been about the weird balance between the triumph of human over machine and the inevitability of judgement day. With T4, forget about judgement day - it's just going to be humans getting their asses kicked for an hour and a half, followed by a half an hour plan to kill Skynet with some lamezor virus, followed by 15 minutes of gushing, with a sudden cliffhanger ending to make you think the machines could make a comeback.

I'd still watch T4, but I also watched Aliens vs Predator and hated every minute of that.

                  As did I.

What a way to ruin two series that I loved!

I stopped after Terminator 2. Didn't watch 3, because it ruins the whole "if the guy who worked at Cyberdine died, they destroyed the chip, Arnold melted the futuristic Terminator and melted himself" shouldn't it be over? In fact, as soon as they destroyed the chip, wouldn't the two Terminators be destroyed? But then again, that raises the whole question, wouldn't The Connors be thinking the same thing? Hence Terminator 3? Don't tell me, I don't want to know.....

It's like the whole space-time continuum theory as described by Dr. Emmitt Brown in the Back to the Future series...

OK, my mind is going a million miles a minute, and I'm supposed to be driving to the AZ-Broncos game here in 20 minutes.

                    I'M OUT.......

HOPING TO SEE MORE OF THIS IN 2012

ESPN’s John Clayton reported that McKenzie is expected to review Jackson’s performance for the next week or so. Clayton reports that the odds favor Jackson staying in Oakland, but a decision has not been made. "I still get the feeling Jackson will end up being retained." 3 1/2 HOURS LATER, THE RAIDERS FIRED JACKSON.....GOOD CALL CLAYTON
