well, i know this is a little late, but as no one else has done so i thought i would start this thread up. as you guys may or may not know, Maynard Ferguson, the great trumpet player, passed about a week ago. He was an unbeleivable musician, playing lead in a professional band at age 13, and starting his own big band at age 17. I know as a trumpet player this man was an inspiration to me. he was touring and performing up until a week before he passed away at the age of 78, and was a truly amazing entertainer. We'll miss you Maynard.
