I, personally, have played the drums for four years. I had wanted to learn how to play since i was two years old. When we moved from Colorado to Florida a year or so aferwards a drummer moved in next to us. Fate... Perhaps. he started teaching lessons sometime after moving in.
I am quite talented at the drumset and joined the school band in 6th grade and am still in the band today, though its getting to be a bore. Don't really want to go into Marching Band in High School since i would rather persue interests in the drumset than learn more about quads/snare/bass in peticular. Planning on going into the Jazz band which they will offer in 11th grade. I don't know where my drum playing will take me, but i get a thrill out of it, and a good rythym, in my mind, just cannot be beaten by anything else.
What are your experiences with musical instruments? Played one or still play one, in a band or not... Its fun to hear from other musicians.
