To be honest with you....until recently, we had no option here BUT COX cable, so hard to know.

Many years ago, I bought a house that already had a 10-foot cable dish with it, but I had a closet full of cables and wires, that almost put me in the Twinkie Mobil trying to figure out which was which, so I had two guys come and take EVERYTHING out. They took it out for free, so I gave it all to them for free.

I'm not someone who needs a 'perfect' looking yard, but I do like the "natural" look---having that 10-foot white disc was UGLY...my back yard looked Mars-like.

I'll be interested in what people have to say on this, especially about the small dish satellites. Good thread! Thanks.
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

      I have Comcast.

And Tivo isn't really a cable provider......it's more of a service..

Digital Cablevision is pretty damn good.

Directtv gets some recognition because they have sunday ticket, but that's about all they got.

I have Directv and love it because I get the NFL package and watch the Broncos every week. I live in MA and would have to watch the Pats if I did not have Sunday Ticket :brick:

            I love directv

Same here, except I don't live in MA, and it would be mostly Chiefs here (even though I live 8 hours from KC) and Tenn when they weren't on.

Besides DirecTV's Sunday ticket and NFL network, two things I would have trouble living without, DirecTV is my only option for HD programming. Even though it is HD-Lite, it still looks very good. Who knows when Suddenlink (formerly Cox around here) will rollout HD programming.

Yep, it can. Not every time it rains, but it definatley happens. Prior to getting HD which requires an oval dish, I used to have a 30" dish that I purchased that was much less likely to go out than the standard 18" dish.

                        Other man.

There's a new service called "Cutler Vision" where you can enjoy the Jay Cutler experience 24/7, 365 days of year. Best of all, it's free. Last I heard Jay was having problems with his ratings. Why? Because people cancelled their service minutes after they signed up because they couldn't handle his greatness.

                        What a legend.

                            COX with the DVR.

Our commercials are unbelievably lame, though.
