I've heard nothing but good things about this movie and am thinking about going to buy it tomorrow. Is it that good from what you guys have seen? I want to get it and then go see volume 2 right away. Would you guys recommend it? I am a huge Terintino fan to.

If your a huge Terintino fan i'd go and buy it. Its awesome fight scenes and great special effects. A must buy for any Terintino fan!

I saw it in the theater. It's good, although the DVD has very little special features like commentary or deleted scenes. This could be because vol 2 is not released yet and they don't want to give anything away. It's hard to talk about one film that is directly connected to another when you don't want to give that other away. I would therefore recommend that you wait to get it because no doubt they will release them together as a collectors edition with commentary's and deleted scenes and other coveted special features. You could buy it now, but if your a really big fan then you'll just end up buying it again.

be warned, this is probably the most violent movie i've ever seen. but it's still really good. so if you don't mind women writhing on the ground screaming after their arm got cut off then go for it. however, i'd recommend renting it before you buy it, just in case you find it a bit much.
i'd definately watch it before going to see 2 though.

Yeah, you have to see 1 before 2. It's the same movie, just broken up into 2 parts.
