A mystery man in Southern California is doing him one better, popping the question in a 30-second Super Bowl ad at a cost of $2.5 million, according to a report in the Daily News.
An undisclosed company is actually footing the bill, after his attempts to drum up the cash necessary turned up just $75,000 in donations.
The commercial will be seen by up to 100 million people, with the prospective couple watching at home. Her response will be recorded and posted to video-hosting sites like YouTube immediately afterward.
The man, known only as J.P., called his plan "the most public declaration of love in the history of mankind."
His spokesman expects it to be a hit with single women everywhere.
"Of those who have seen it, there wasn't a dry eye," said publicist Jamie O'Donnell told the paper. "Women who saw it were saying, 'If she doesn't marry him, I will.' "
AWWWWW...isnt that sweet! Hope she says yes! and I hope she is a football fan and is watching the game..He's going to have to tell her to sit down and keep watching.. lol
