Well, it's almost time for the next installment!

Survivor Fiji Premieres Thursday Febuary 8th at 7pm Central.


This sounds like a good one.

They have a fairly diverse group and it sounds like they are going to go "Trading Places" on us.

What I mean by that is; they are going to have two tribes.

One tribe will have everything given to them. Food, shelter, tools ect ect.

And the other tribe will have nothing but meager supplies.

I also assume that they will put the most "successfull" people in the tribe with nothing while putting the others in the tribe with everything.

Should be interesting.

and again, PLEASE no spoilers for future episodes. Only post information from episodes that have been aired. It is OK to speculate what will happen, but I'd like this to season long disscussion without spoilers of any kind.

This year, I won't be able to annouce the boots right after the show ends. I have class when Survivor is on. So, If no one else does it, I'll just announce after I get home and watch the episode. :thumb:

Jessica!

It's early on in the game but she looked boring anyway. I think Sylvia will replace her just nicely.

Speaking of Sylvia,

She was the lucky one to first go to exile. Exile Island looks to be about the same except for the snakes and the fact that the idol may/may not be on the island. With all those sea snakes slithering around, it looks like Exile Island is going to be even harder to sleep on. It's hard to say how many snakes are really there. Survivor can get creative with it's editing.

Yau-Man is my early favorite. I hope he hangs around awhile. I loved it when he figured out how to open the box 2 seconds after the big strong guys were pounding on it. He seems like he's incredibly clever and I was scratching my head as to why he wasn't working on the puzzle.

Dreamz is going to get himself voted off if he keeps up with the crazy rants. What the hell was with the racial call outs? "Are you Chinese? White people raise your hand!!" It looks like he can get pretty defensive about that. What he needs to understand is that in Survivor (and in life), that is a WEAKNESS. Other people will exploit it, especially for a million dollars.

Rocky seems like he's just a mutated version of Boston Rob and Sylvester Stallone. I'm not sure how genuine he really is. It almost seems like he enjoys being the character he is and he may play that up a little.


I'm not sure how this whole lap of luxury thing is going to play out. If the poor tribe doesn't get water soon. Thsi could be decided pretty quick. On the other hand, the luxury tribe could lose challeneges by virtue of being too over-confident.


We'll see how it pans out.

Ericka!

Well, she broke one of Survivor's cardinal rules. Don't freak out at the challenges! If you lose, it just draws negative attention to yourself and you will be perceived more as a detriment rather than a benefit. She totally went ballastic, so she gets to go home early.

One thing I like about this Survivor, is that it seems as if they are going back to showing more of the struggle of Survivor. That is my favorite aspect of the game, and it seemed in recent years, they were going away from showing that. Instead they were focusing episodes more on the strategy and backstabbing. I like the strategy and back stabbing, I just don't want it to dominate the show.

That said, I hope the Ravu tribe wins pretty quick, otherwise this is going to be elementary. It looks pretty lopsided now with Moto having all the advantages. I would like to see a little more competetion instead of one tribe getting destroyed every challenge. I hope that doesn't happen here but it certianly has the makings of that.

I'm starting to think that Anthony(Ravu) is a pretty cool guy. Don't know if his decision to vote against his alliance was a good one though. You upset 2 different groups that way. Your alliance and the person whose name you wrote down, both of which are still at camp!

Not much screentime for Yau-man. Hopefully they keep him around. It looks like he struggles at challenges. I still can't figure out why he isn't the main guy solving their puzzles.

What's the deal with next week? Someone gets hurt on Moto? It doesn't look like Boo. I kinda think it might be Dreamz for some reason.

Ohh another note. That Rita is smoking!! Wow! she is hot. And she's 38? Amazing. :thumb:

i thought last week jessica and other were already schemeing and stratagizeing way overboard....they have watched too many survivers.....they need to go back to making it hard to survive and just let the game happen for a while

Next week, with all the previews, it looks like Ravu may make a comeback, & I don't like the sound that one Moto member is in trouble.

Well, she wasn't very likable anyway. She was kind of like an Asian Nancy Reagan. Just weird.

I must say, watching Ravu get destroyed is not very entertaining. Especially since they really havn't been given a fair shot in this game. If both tribes started out evenly, then it would be a different story, but that is not the case.

I think they need to do something quick to switch it up.

Rita!

I'm kinda sad to see her go. I thought she was pretty hot, although she was losing WAY too much weight from being on Ravu.

Speaking of which, I'm pretty sick of seeing them lose time and time again. Is this what the producers expected? One tribe just to get completely destroyed beacuse they have a unfair disadavantage at every challenge? (cept the first one)

They are starving, they've lost ALOT of weight. The have no muscle mass. Of course they are going to lose something physical like the Sumo challenge! It was rediculous to even propose it. Anyone can see that there's no way they could have won.

Ohh well, I think Survivor is catching my drift because according to next week, they are mixing it up. It's about time. I find it interesting that they decided to annouce that in a promo rather than on the air. They must of heard of too many people not watching this year because of the way the game was set-up this time.

I have to say, I'm pretty disapointed in what they did this year. My impression was that they were going to put poor people on the luxury tribe and over-achievers on the poor tribe like the movie Trading Places. I guess that would have been too interesting.

This season of Survivor has been very disappointing. It's been such a huge disadvantage for Ravu, it makes the show boring for a lack of competition. If I was on Ravu, I would be seriously pissed off. You'd think the show producers would make sure things were relatively fair, not so heavily tilted.
