Can we stop with turning this into a "bash hip-hop" thread please?

because then the people who like hip-hop are gonna come in here and start arguing about how you should stop listening to mainstream hip-hop and start with names of other rappers and posting lyrics etc.

Anyways I think the Chili Peppers deserve the award, even if I don't consider them a rock band.

Flea (although i think he's a little overrated) is an incredibly talented bassist. he's got some pretty funky bass lines.
