  • Audioslave Is Done

Audioslave singer Chris Cornell has quit the short-lived "supergroup," citing "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences," he said on Thursday.

At least RATM is getting back together..

Good, but it got me thinkin........

RAGE disbanded due to musical differences. Well, disbanded meaning the lead singer left..........

Audioslave disbanded due to musical differences. Well again, disbanded meaning the lead singer left..........

Maybe there is something about the way Tom and the guys do business that makes the vocalists want to leave......????

    Just a thought...

I never was a fan of Audioslave......GIVE ME RAGE ANYDAY!!!!!!!!!

    PEACE!!!

I read something way back when, and it said that Zach left Rage because he had become all about the money which he was against when they started out. So maybe it really is just creative or musical differences. I dunno why Cornell left Audioslave though. Perhaps he or the band just wanted different things. Who knows. The world is a better place now that I wont have to listen to Audioslave all freaking day on the radio.
        That's fo damn sho!!!!

Now I'd be very surprised if Rage doesn't decide to put out another album after Coachella. I think De La Roacha was quoted as saying it was going to be a one time reunion, but I think that was before Cornell was out of the picture.

I really liked Audioslave's 1st album, but wasn't as impressed with the 2nd. It's too bad they split, but if it means more RATM then so be it.

I don't think they sounded anything alike. I think Audioslave was Morello living out his Zeppelin and Sabbath fantasies. WHich is fine.

SOundgarden was much more psychedelic and complicated, almost progressive, muscially and lyrically.

Everybody's gotta elevate from the norm...

The greatest list of music I don't own on CD
You should check these guys out

That's what I was saying. It was like Cornell was doing what he really wanted to do. Soundgardens early stuff was very Sabbath-like. Kim Thayall used to play a very heavy guitar in the early days.
