  • Michael Irvin no longer with ESPN (Merged)

ESPN announced that Michael Irvin, who had been an NFL analyst for ESPN since 2003, is no longer with the network.

ESPN won't exercise an option to renew NFL studio analyst Michael Irvin's contract, the network said on Saturday.

ESPN Communications Vice President Josh Krulewitz announced that Irvin, who had been NFL analyst with ESPN for the past three and a half years, is no longer with the network.

"We thank Michael for his contributions to ESPN and wish him well," Krulewitz said in a statement.

Irvin retired in 2002 after 12 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame during Super Bowl festivities two weeks ago.

He should go back to acting.

To be honest he wasn't that bad at it.

Thank God we won't have to listen to his drug analysis. Lol.

And to xX, I agree. He was pretty good in The Longest Yard.

Yup, Out with the playmaker (gag) in with the Big Tuna. On the bright side now Irvin willhave more time to help any of his "friends" with their crack pipe problems.

TD is on the NFL Network but come to think about it, I don't recall seeing him on there lately.

I am glad we don't have to put up with Irvin anymore. His fakish laughter alone drove me bonkers

I for one care about Michael Irvin, but it could be because I am a Cowboy fan, who knows. I will sincerely miss him.
