Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

Football career
Sutter was a star defensive back in college with the Colorado Buffaloes football team. He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He was cut late in the 1998 training camp. He then signed with the Carolina Panthers a few days later, not making the active roster until November 28, 1998 (he previously was on the Panther's practice squad). A week later, he was placed on injured reserve. The following summer, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks, but he was cut and has not been in the NFL since.

'Bachelorette' winner Ryan Sutter invited to NFL rookie minicamp
UPI News Service, 05/23/2005
The New Orleans Saints invited Ryan Sutter, who gained fame in 2003 by marrying Trista Rehn in ABC's "The Bachelorette," to try out for the NFL team.
The Vail, Colo., firefighter was invited last week to the Saints' rookie minicamp, the New York Post reported Monday.
Sutter was an all-conference defensive back when he attended the University of Colorado. A fifth-round pick in the 1998 draft, Sutter signed with the Carolina Panthers, but dislocated his shoulder in his first game to end his NFL career.
Sutter later played a season in Europe for the Barcelona Dragons.
Some 17 million viewers watched Sutter marry Rehn in December 2003 during the first season of "The Bachelorette."
His wife, a former Miami Heat dancer, has been cast in an ABC summer reality series called "Dancing with the Stars."
