POISON, RATT, VINCE NEIL SET FOR ROCKLAHOMA THREE-DAY SIMMER FESTIVAL

POISON, RATT (featuring original lead singer Stephen Pearcy), VINCE NEIL and Y&T are among the acts that are expected to appear at Rocklahoma, a three-day outdoor '80s hard rock festival, set to take place July 13-15, in Pryor, OK at the Pryor Festival Grounds. The following is a partial list of bands that are **rumored*** to be taking part in the event:

Rocklahoma will be hosted by radio personality and VH1 Classic VJ Eddie Trunk, who will officially announce the lineup for the festival today (Tuesday, March 27) during a press conference at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California.

I don't know about Faster Pu$$ycat without Taime Downe singing . I like the Phil Lewis version of LA Guns better than Tracii's but I'd watch Tracii play guitar for anyone. Warrant is not the same without Janie Lane but Jamie St. James (from Black and Blue) is still pretty good.

All of those bands can still put on a great show. The only one I have not seen recently is Y&T.

All these bands have at least the original lead singer.....
Bang Tango(Joe LeSte), BulletBoys(Marq Torian), Dokken(Don Dokken), Poison (Bret Michaels), Quiet Riot(Kevin Dubrow), Ratt (Stephen Pearcy), Slaughter (Mark Slaughter), Firehouse (CJ Snare), Tesla (Jeff Kieth)
LA Guns lead singer is Paul Black who was technically the original lead singer before Phil Lewis joined and the band got signed. But I think they are pulling out of this festival.
Faster Pu$$ycat does not have the lead singer but they do play all the hits. The original lead singers version of Faster P is unfortunately and industrial band and butchers all the originals.
Warrant has a few original members but no original singer. They just are not as good without Jani Lane. Although he is a trainwreck he was damn talented.
Vince Neil is pretty good solo if he isn't too drunk.
I know nothing about Y&T except I really liked the song Summertime Girls.

I was seriously considering going to this, but my wife put the kibash on that since we are going to the Poison/Ratt show here in Denver and we are already tripping to Chicago for Lollapalooza and Velvet Revolver will be here and that will cost $$ as well. Hope you enjoy the show, it looks good.

While it would be a great time and I'm sure I will regret not going I have to pass. But we are going to see Poison/Ratt in KC on 7/15. And Tracii's LA Guns are in KC on 7/16 so I will get to see a few of the bands in the next week or so.
