Carlos Mencia and Dave Chapelle are one in the same IMO. I'm not a big fan of either...Chapelle makes me laugh, but his comedy isn't my style. I prefer Rodney Carrington, Dane Cook, Jim Gaffighan, etc.

The only difference is Dave doesn't steal material from other people like Carlos Menstealia or Dane Cook does.

I've been listening to Dane Cook for about 5 years and have never heard any material that he has "stolen". I saw him live in Vegas in Nov' '05 as well. Mencia definitely steals bits and pieces of other people's material, but I'll have to disagree with your statement about Dane Cook. IMO, Chapelle is no different than Martin Lawrence or Chris Rock...maybe just more creative.

Depends on the kind of comedy you listen to...I don't like racially motivated BS that Chappelle has mastered...don't like Martin Lawrence, Chris Rock, or Richard Pryor for the same reason.

seriously....what the hell is the deal with Dane Cook. His stand up special on HBO was so boring. There is nothing unique about that guy. Chapelle on the other hand was awesome. His stand up could last for 6 hours and be completely unique. I've seen him live and basicly he will ramble about nonsense on and on but from him it's still hilarious. He has true talent.
