Hey everyone. I dunno about you guys, but I am excited about marching band. Band rocks! So, is anyone in marching band? Our show this year is The Rise of the Samurai! I was in Marching Band freshmen year.
The summer practices...
SUCK SO MUCH!
Think about 90 degree weather with full on humidity. I almost passed out from that I swear. And to top that off the teacher wanted us to do damn laps on the track!
Other than that the performances were fun and the traveling. (when your in the busses and in hotel rooms with your buds) -
And during the summer after the summer practices were done I had football.

Heh, I'm starting marching band this year. Freshman Alto, and I'm also trying for JV Football and Jazz Band. And theres the normal concert band.
I don't start till like 1st week of August, and then I have the 3 day band camp in Hilo (or Kona, I forgot).
10 long weeks!Comment

I play the oboe...I never had to play in a marching band.
