Anthems and Protests ---
While we certainly understand the frustration by fans on all sides of the discussion, we have decided to keep the Broncos Country message boards separate from politics. Recent events have brought the NFL to the forefront of political debates, but due to the highly emotional and passionate discussion it tends to involve, we think it’s best to continue to keep politics and this forum separate. Yes, the forum is meant for discussion, but we’d like to keep that discussion to football as much as possible.
With everything going on in our country, it would be nice to keep our complaints and cheers purely related to football here. If you feel passionately, there are plenty of other outlets available to you to express your opinions. We know this isn’t the most popular decision, but we ask that you respect it.
Thank you for understanding.

For me, It's Revenge of the Sith...
I like to know how Anakin became Darth Vader...
The special effects are really incredible...
I love the duals between Vader and Obi-Wan and Darth Sidious and Yoda...
#2 : Empire Strikes Back
#3 (tie) : Return of the Jedi and Clone's attack
#5 : A new hope

1. Empire - Asteroid scene! And the AT-ATs. This movie develops the characters and plot of the trilogy, not to mention the unconventional ending (everything isn't resolved!)
2. Revenge of the Sith - If Anakin's fall into Vader had been better written/scripted I would have put this in place of Empire. When I watched it in the theatre it seemed like Anakin was more of a victim than someone knowingly choosing to become evil. Now Vader in the classic trilogy doesn't seem like such the bad guy and Luke less of a hero.
3. New Hope - The one that get's things started. And what a start to a movie!
4. Attack of the Clones - Just seems like a better all around movie than Jedi.
5. Return of the Jedi - Nice fight scenes at the end
6. Menace of the Phantom - Too much time spent on everything but Anakin. If the classic trilogy is Luke's story redeeming his father, then the prequels should be about Anakin, not Qui Gon and Co.
I voted for "A New Hope" just because of the way it made me feel while watching that movie. It truly was groundbreaking and I remember leaving that theatre as a 10-year-old being just totally blown away.

I agree 100%, I was 5 when I saw it and it just blew me away from beginning to end
And 20 years later, when it was remastered and re-released it blew me away all over again.
The big problem I've had with the prequels is that I've struggled to get any feeling or connection for any of the charecters.............no real criticism of the actors or anything, but there weren't really a great many suprises, the broad story was known, and the films just filled the gaps.
I really envy a friend of mine from work who had never seen them until he borrowed the DVD sets off me, he got to watch the story, rather than seeing the production order, and I guess that they'd work much better that way.
The Whiskyteers ~ One for all, and all for MORE!!!!

You know, in certain older civilized cultures, when men failed as entirely as you have, they would throw themselves on their swords ~ The Operative, Serenity

the thing that bugged me about the prequels was the technology seemed better than the original movies, and while i know this can be explained due to tech being destroyed during the clone wars and of course the movies being made over 2 decades after the originals, but i just would have appreciated it much more had they gone oldschool with the films, it was possible to do that, i think it would have been really appreciated as well
Rank:
Empire
New Hope / Jedi tied
Sith
Clones (I can watch the 2nd half of the movie)
Phantom Menace (I can only watch the Darth Maul fight)
If you haven't seen it, I thought the Phantom Edit and Attack of the Phantom made them better, still not great, but there really is only so much you can do.
When I saw them as a kid, I like Return of the Jedi first, A New Hope second, and Empire third.
As an adult, Empire is definitely my favorite, followed by A New Hope, and then Return. The whole "Ewoks beating up the stormtroopers" thing is great when you are young, but seems pretty farfetched as you get older.
The original three still blow the prequels out of the water. I like certain scenes in the prequels (mainly lightsaber duels) a lot, but overall, they just didn't live up to the standards of the originals (mostly due to the dialog and acting).
