  • First Smashing Pumpkins Album in 7 years hits stores tomorow 7/10/07

Most of you could probably give a crap, but I am really excited. I know it's only two original members, but my favorites are back. I'm going to see them on July 22nd at the Fillmore in San Francisco and then again back here in Denver at Red Rocks in September. Anyway, just a heads up from your old pal MasterShake!

I haven't even heard any of their new songs yet.
The Browns are gone; I'm not a fan of the Impostors

The real Browns are in Baltimore, see?

They are actually quite good. If you saw Transformers they played one of the new songs when Megan Fox was towing Bumblebee called "Doomsday Clock" which is also on the soundtrack to that movie. Tarantula is the other single that they play on the radio, and thats a good song too. The album you will only like if you like layered guitars and heavy drums like their earlier albums. No more wierd techno rock (even thought that was good too). Here's the video for Tarantula if you are interested.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O5V2m3E4VvA

I don't know why he is wearing a man dress, it is a weird video.

That looks like it was a great time

Ive only seen them once, but it was awsome. cant remember the date but it was on their mini-tour before their huge Mellon Collie tour at the Moore Theater in Seattle. 1st half was acoustic, 2nd half after an intermission was heavy, it was great Wish I wouldnt have lost the stub

Im starting to dig the new material. I was afraid it would be like Zwan, but its not. 1st couple listens I was eh, but its growing pretty well. Chamberlin is such a great drummer.

I've heard that new song and it isn't too bad.

And yes, the new bassist gets a thumbs up.

Yes. Chamberlain had the biggest drum set I had ever seen someone play live. And like you, the new album had to grow on me a bit but now I can't get enough of it.
