  • Severus Snape:Friend or Foe?

Okay Harry Potter fans, here we go. Lets decide on Snape, is he good or bad?

Here are some tips to make your descion.

    Friend:

    1. In "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", why did Snape attempt to protect Harry from Proffesor Quirrel.

    2. Why didn't Snape go to the graveyard immediatley upon being summoned by Voldemort in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire"

3.In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, why did Snape alert the Order of the Pheonix that Harry was facing danger at the ministry?

    4. In "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix", why did Snape agree to teach Harry Ocumency?

5.Dumbledore tells Harry he trusts Snape in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix" and again in it s implied in the "Half Blood Prince." Would Dumbledore, the most powerful wizard of his time, misplace his trust in Snape?

    6. Why does Snape spare Harry's life in "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince?"

    Foe:

    1. Beginning with "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone", Snape displays a dislike of Harry. Is a childhood grudge against his father enough to hate Harry or is it something more?

    2. Why was Snape so set on expelling Harry from Hogwarts in "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets"

3.In "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", what were Snape and Karkaroff conspiring about?

    4. Knowing the danger Harry faced, why did Snape continue to goad Sirius in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix"?

5.In "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince", what were Snapes motives for his Unbreakable Vow with Narcissa?

    6. And of course, there is the major question of Snape and Dumbledore in "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I will leave out the details for those that have not read it.

So, you decide! Is he good, or is he bad?

    I say Friend.

I think that Dumbledore had his reasons to trust him and we don't know what they are yet, but I think that they've always been too harsh on him...

He'll probably end up being his legal guardian/dads brother somehow.

I am not big on the Harry Potter series.

But I would say he is more friend than foe.

I say he is a friend just because of how he really comes around to Harry in the Order of the Pheonix, he also helps out Harry in the other books but it really shows in the Order of the Pheonix. Also for the fact about him wanting Harry to be expelled he probally sense that Harry was gonna find danger so he wanted to prtect him more than anything.

Yes, you can vote. That is the fun. I think he is still good even if he did what he did.

Of course he will end up being one of the good guys. He'll just end up being an anti-hero like he has been throughout all the books, apart from the 6th one. He'll probably end up being the new headmaster or something!

                            well hes good.

but to answer the first question on is he a friend or whatever.

in the sixth one he gets asked this by bellatrix LEstrange.

and he says that he protected him from quirrel because he didnt know that he was lord voldemort.

he thought he was a regular wizard or something.
white sox are done, broncos looking strong, lakers gonna win it all again.
