Doesn't matter to me if he stays in a hotel from time to time. I give the guy my kudos just for some of the stuff he eats and some of the crazy stuff he does.

The show isn't meant to be like Survivorman where the guy is by himself with his own camera equipment. Man vs Wild is more a "here's what to do" show.

He gets his point across and his credentials cannot be denied.

Of course it's a little bit faked! He HAS a camera crew right there with him.

Unlike Surviviorman. He is alone for a week. No help at all.

However, like you said, it is still entertaining, and can be educational.

I DVR that show every Friday night.

Last Friday I got a double dose when they replayed his episode from the island on the south Pacific. The raft he made out of bamboo was crazy and, for some reason or another, I don't really feel like any one on his crew could make that thing as well as he did.

Thank goodness. I'd probably quit watching it if they didn't.

                      Maybe YOUR ratings would.

Wait so in the middle of filming, at night, they would take him out and let him sleep in a hotel, and then when daybreak comes they dump him back out there?

But Man Vs. Wild is still the best. Really good for "How To" stuff.

Survivorman I just don't like. Gives me a headache / makes me dizzy. I wonder how he does all those far away shots though. Does he run out there, place the camera, and run back, film the shot, and then run back to get it? Or is it placed there by a team member before? And if it was placed before by a team member, wouldn't that mean there would be a predetermined route / location for him to go to?
