This article is interesting regarding how NASCAR teams shuffle their charters.
I'm also looking forward to EriK Jones getting a Sprint ride with Furniture Row !

HScott Motorsports will not compete in NASCAR in 2017

HScott Motorsports, which fielded two Sprint Cup cars during the 2016 season, has suspended operations and will not compete in NASCAR in 2017.
The team did not have any drivers nor sponsors lined up for next season. Driver Clint Bowyer, who finished 27th in the standings, had signed a one-year deal in September 2015 as a stop-gap before heading to Stewart-Haas Racing to replace Tony Stewart in 2017

Speaking of Andretti, I came across some NASCAR news.

Sergio Marchionne said he is eager to get Chrysler, most likely Dodge, back into NASCAR.
Sergio is in Daytona for Ferrari’s 2016 Finali Mondiali at Daytona International Speedway Sunday.
Dodge had a deal with Andretti Autosport to take over Dodge in 2013, but the deal stalled with Marchionne’s final decision.

Good read but VW Passat.....NO NO NO !!!

    Dodge back to Nascar ?

Roger Goodell to investigate TRD and Joe Gibbs Racing

It would be good to see Dodge back in NASCAR. Agree about the Passat.

Goodell should stay out of racing. I mean, really.

    Very nice of Johnson.

NASCAR driver Tony Stewart got an early Christmas present from Jimmie Johnson this week after Johnson won his seventh Sprint Cup Series Championship. Johnson gave Stewart his race helmet, which Johnson had just worn at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday to capture his latest NASCAR victory. “This is probably the biggest honor you can have as a driver to get a guy who just won his seventh championship get his helmet like that so it shows how good of a friend he really is,” stammered out Stewart, who had joined Johnson in Victory Lane to congratulate him. Stewart, who completed his final race as a full-time driver on Sunday, has made it his mission to collect his fellow drivers’ helmets as souvenirs ...

A tribute to Stewart from Classic Rewind from his Indy days.

"He remains the only driver to claim both INDYCAR and NASCAR championships." Impressive.

i won't even get into the restart with him & logano but dammit there should never have been a restart to begin with, i think this is what nascar wanted all along was the dam 48 to win & since he really had no chance as they were running...well they had to intervene, go figure
There would be to many variables to rig it so Jimmie would win it. However they might have flew the caution to have the race have a more compelling finish, but even that is a stretch.

That was when they went to NBCSN, I think? You used to get some of the races when they were on FOX. I think.

If NASCAR wants to up their ratings, they should change that.

Sometimes I wonder. They did make him start from the back, though.

Last night, the 14 should not have had such a big impact on the Chase. Jones and Allgaier had nowhere to go. Would they have been able to fight the 19? We'll never know. International Champion sounds good, though, right?

    Yeah, I'm bitter.
