I don't like the fact that Beckett is getting game 2 and Lester is getting game 3. I know Beckett has the track record but Lester has been lights out this postseason and I think he has earned the right to start game 2. Francona knows what he's doing so I won't blast him too bad but I would just like to see Lester ahead of Beckett in the rotation at this point.

Interesting. I didn't realize they hadn't faced our 1, 2 and 3 in a series this year.

They're going to be very tough though. They know how to provide timely hitting and good pitching.

We deserved to lose that game last night with Francona's moronic decision to put Timlin in. WTH was he thinking? I knew the game was over when I saw him take the mound in the 11th. I love Francona but he is just plain awful at managing his bullpen at times. And it appears that my earlier post about Beckett was right. He has absolutely nothing left this season. If we are going to win the WS, we'll have to do it without playoff Beckett.

True. I dozed off after I saw Timlin come in and walk the first batter. I couldn't bear to watch it.

I woke up several hours later and checked the final score and wasn't surprised in the least bit.
