Lester's on the hill tonight V Kazmir

      Kazmir V SOX

Pedroia is like .550 aganist him with 4 Homers (2 in the ALCS)

Youkilis is like .331 against him with 3 Homers

i can't think of everyone else but the odds are with the SOX

      • Great start for the Sox! If Beckett pitches like that all year we are in for a great season.

Oh, and hi Med and South!

Very nice way to start the season. BTW, the homer announcers for the Rays were complaining that they didn't get to start the season at home after making it to the Series.

How long has it been for Boston, 5 years or something?

the sox tv guys were saying basically the same thing...the rays play in florida, in a dome, and here we are playing the first games of the year in boston...i think it was the first time since 2002 that the sox opened at home

                • oh well...despite those 5 k's in the first two innings lester didn;t have it tonight

a couple clutch hits would have helped but it didn't happen

the baltimore orioles are now alone in 1st place

                      • first of all it's the third game of the season and Baltimore hasn't play the SOX or the Blue Jays yet.

and if Tampa didn't have the umpire in thier back pocket last night the game would have been closer i'm not say that we would have won since Lester and Saito gave up homers but when Jon Lester would miss the ump would call ball - right Call when Scott Kazmir would miss and miss badly he would call strike - *** and ESPN was saying the Francona should get a copy of this tape and show it to the MLB OFFICIALS cause that was HORRIBLE the game should've been 3-2 not 7-2

Oh hey Tampa how about you get a set of stones and swing the bat like GROWN men who play Professional Baseball and quite Bunting this isn't little league Bull $%^#

I'm gald to see Beckett back :salute!:

                        • I hate blaming refs or Ump for the way games end. For example the Chargers game this year. San Diego had chance to win after the bad call. How ever when it is in a case like this where an Ump/Ref make more then one call the effects the game, it is a differnt issiue.
