It's a good thing Jay Cutler was a proven winner in college. Oh wait, nevermind.

Says the Chiefs guy who hates the Broncos.

By those same standards...neither is Larry Johnson this season.

Also...to point out to you FACTS....Elvis is 2nd in AFC behind your Jared Allen, so if they got in right now based on FACTUAL Stats, Elvis would be in along side your Allen.

Just because you don't like the guy, don't discredit him.
Just because he is a Bronco, don't take away his accomplishments.

Hey, at least he hasn't gotten caught TWICE for getting behind a wheel after a night of boozing it up! Character does count for something.

      • It isn't so much that Denver's Dline is questionable, it is that they can't be what they aren't.

The whole Bates '2 gap crap' was an abysmal failure. You have to play to the strengths of your team. They essentially took away the identity of the Defense.

While the Dline has some good players and a lot of depth, they are devoid of a perennial rusher besides some specialists.

This squad lacked the Blitz, it's simple. They were more aggressive than they have been since 2005. With CBs like Champ and Bly you'd think a normal DC would be salivating at the possibilities. This is what has been missing. They got burned some times, but other times it was effective.

I'd rather take gambles than wait with the soft zones and read and react BS that didn't work AT ALL the first part of the year.

        • Kansas City? Who Dat?

Mr. Kansas you just hope your team show up on 11-11-07, and get some orange and blue. By the way your QB Brodie is still a kid who don't know the play book, Jay is a man of his own. Jay is a 2nd year QB starting in the NFL and has proven to me he can handle the NFL quite well

            • He was on the sideline last night cheering on the WRs. I MISS HIM!!! That being said, I don't think we will see him this year. We may never see him on the field again.
Proud Bronco fan since 1975. I just wish every football player out there today was more like my man Rod Smith. Knowing we will never see him on the field again is very hard. He gave everything he had and left his guts on the field. I will miss him.

              • He's supposed to start practicing this week, and he still has until week 9 to be added to the active roster.

He can be added to the roster and made inactive for the games until he is ready. And without Javon's status so uncertain, it's almost a given (imo) that Shanahan will keep Rod off of injured reserve. If we have another receiver injured, we'd have no one else to come in and no one on the practice squad.

                • His leadership would be huge but I dont even think he can outperform Martinez now, but I hope he does and become a solid 4th option.

Neither is Jared Allen. I don't care if he has 30 sacks at the end of the year, he gets frickin run over all the time. The Chiefs D is a time bomb. When it explodes, you'll be picking pieces of Law, Allen, and your "super-soph" safeties off of I-70.

See, I think the complete opposite.

If the passing game is as efficient as it was last night, then I don't think Mike Shanahan would risk keeping Rod inactive on the roster (especially if all signs pointed to Rod not making it back at a reasonable time).

Walker's injury almost solidified to me that if Rod isn't ready to go by week 9, he'll be placed on injured reserve. Shanahan will need the roster spot if either Marshall or Stokley get injured.

                        • i still think rod still has at least one more season in him. last night as i watched rod cheer on the WR's i could tell he wanted to be on the field. even if he dosent come back this season im sure he'll be back in 08 to give it one more go at a shot at the superbowl
